Simplemente jugar!
En el verano del año 2011, nuestra hija Maia, cumplia 4 años, el proyecto Milimbo nació al mismo tiempo que ella, y lo fuimos alimentando de experiencias recíprocas. Leíamos y jugábamos con los libros. A Maia le gustaba contarle cuentos a sus muñecos tanto como hacer cabañas y caminos con los libros.
Para la celebración de su cumpleaños, decidimos regalarle algo especial, un juego, para que siguiera haciendo sus teatros y siguiera contando a sus muñecos. Llegó la fiesta con sus familiares y amigos, y recibió algunos regalos, una casa de muñecas de madera, algunos libros,... y el último una cajita con unos animalitos de cartón. Apenas le prestó atención con la excitación de aquel día. Pero justo días después fuimos obsevando que los animales salieron de su caja, y tomaron parte de aquellos teatritos que se alargaban durante mañanas enteras. La caja de animales contenía también algunas piezas de construcción hechas de cartón, con la que se podían construir algunos elementos de una jungla, algunos árboles y plantas, una cabaña en el árbol... Nos encantaba jugar con Maia y hacer crecer aquella jungla, primero hicimos una cabaña hecha con una caja de cartón, luego recreamos unas montañas y un tren en el que viajaban aquellos animales... Y fue así como nos planteamos producir aquella cajita de animales, nuestro primer juguete, "Jungling".
Ocho años después, seguimos jugando con los libros, haciendo caminos, contando con los juguetes y haciendo "teatritos". Y es maravilloso ver que estos juguetes, nacidos de experiencias tan espontáneas, siguen con vida, jugando con otros niños a crear sus propios universos. Este juego infinito, nos ha marcado el camino de esta nueva exposición, y ahora son los juguetes los que juegan con nosotros, las reglas han cambiado. La pequeña caja de animales ahora es una verdadera jungla que da la bienvenida a un itinerario en el que visitante es un personaje más del juego, "Bloc City" nuestra ciudad de cartón, propone crear tu propio "juego de pistas" diseñando itinerarios, la postal que se transforma en bosque de "Postal Kids" es ahora un escenario gigante donde personajes y niños se confunden. Hay también otros juegos de construcción y combinatoria. Nos alegra ver que la propia exposición se ha convertido en un juego que desea continuar en la imaginación de los niños.

Just play!
In the summer of 2011, our daughter Maia, was 4 years old, the Milimbo project was born at the same time as her, and we fed it on reciprocal experiences. We read and played with books. Maia liked to tell stories to her dolls as much as making huts and paths with books.
For the celebration of her birthday, we decided to gift her something special, a game to aim to continue making her theaters and telling to her dolls. The party arrived with his family and friends, and she received some gifts, a wooden dollhouse, some books, ... and the last one small box with some cardboard animals. She hardly paid any attention with the excitement of that day. But just days later we were observing that the animals came out of their box, and took part in those theaters that stretched out for whole mornings. The small animal box also contained some construction pieces, also made of cardboard, with which could build some elements of a jungle, some trees and plants, a tree house ... We loved playing with Maia and growing that jungle, first we made a cabin made with a cardboard box, then we recreated mountains and a train in which those animals traveled ... And that is how we planned to produce that box of animals, our first toy, "Jungling".
Eight years later, we continue playing with books, making paths, telling on toys and making "theaters". And it is wonderful to see that these toys, born from such spontaneous experiences, are still alive, playing with other children to create their own universes. This infinite game has marked the path for us in this new exhibition, and now are toys that play with us, the rules have changed. The small box of animals is now a real jungle that welcomes to this itinerary in which the visitor is another character in this game, "Bloc City", our cardboard city, proposing to create your own "clue game" by designing itineraries, the postcard that transforms into forest,"Postal Kids" is now a giant stage where characters and children are confused. There are also other construction set and combinatorial games. We are happy to see that the exhibition itself has become into a game that wish to continue into children's imaginations.
